Art is imitating life! Chris Pratt will be joining Anna Faris on her comedy Mom in a guest-starring role in the show’s fourth season, Us Weekly has confirmed. Appropriately, the Guardians of the Galaxy star will be appearing as a love interest for his real-life spouse.
Pratt will play Nick, a horseback riding instructor and nephew of Marjorie (Mimi Kennedy). Christy (Faris) will pursue Nick despite her close friend deeming him strictly off-limits. The episode will air on CBS in early 2017.
This will be the fourth time the husband and wife duo will be on screen together. They were previously both in the 2011 films What’s Your Number? and Take Me Home Tonight, and 2012’s Movie 43.
Pratt and Faris wed in 2009 and welcomed their son, Jack, in August 2012. “We spend a lot of time at home building fires and just cooking and just being together. Just enjoying the simple times too,” she told Us in January. “Now that Chris is, like, a crazy huge movie star, going out is just a whole different thing. It’s just a whole different weird. We look at each other sometimes and we’re like, ‘Oh, my God.’ Because it just feels very surreal sometimes since we both grew up in Washington state. We just are sort of cherishing these times.”
And if it wasn’t enough to get to see the unfiltered chemistry between the former Parks and Recreation star and the Unqualified podcast host, Mom fans will also be treated to a West Wing reunion when Bradley Whitford guest stars opposite Mom regular Allison Janney (Bonnie).
Mom returns in its fourth season on CBS Thursday, October 27, at 9 p.m. ET.
