Bale’s epic bromance! Christian Bale passionately kissed his The Big Short director, Adam McKay, twice (!), as well as screenwriter Charles Randolph during the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, January 17.
Bale, 41, first leaned in for a big smooch after he won in the Best Actor in a Comedy category. But he made sure to kiss his wife, Sibi Blazic, first.
“That was just a lovely makeout session with my wife and with Adam and with Charles,” the American Hustle star said during his acceptance speech. “We all really got to know each other very well on this film.”
Bale and McKay, 47, couldn’t get enough of each other, though. (Sorry, Randolph!) The men later smooched again when The Big Short won for Best Comedy. Bale, who had been waiting backstage, joined the rest of his cast on stage as McKay made a beeline for the Hollywood heartthrob.
“That’s collaborative love between Christian and I,” McKay told the star-studded audience. “Don’t judge it! It’s what fuels movies like this.”
