Well, they do call it the “Dirrty South”! On Wednesday, April 15, Christina Aguilera will be making her Nashville debut on the hit ABC music series, playing pop star Jade St. John.
According to the press release, Aguilera’s Jade is “a pop star who wants to go back to her roots and be a country artist, but feels pressure from the label to stay a successful pop star.”
And The Voice coach’s foray into the world of country music doesn’t stop there. She will also make a surprise appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) on Sunday, April 19, where she will be singing a duet with Rascal Flatts, Us Weekly can exclusively reveal.
The song they will perform together will later be released as a solo performance by Xtina, 34, and fans can see it on her multi-episode Nashville arc.
Meanwhile, audio from her song “The Real Thing” has been leaked online and features the belty pop diva showing off her impressive vocal chords.
