Seems Christina Aguilera's foray into films has been very successful.
Not only did the Grammy-winning singer, 29, meet new beau Matthew Rutler while filming her starring role in Burlesque, but the flick is now up for Best Picture, Comedy/Musical at the January Golden Globes.
"I am thrilled that our film Burlesque was nominated for a Golden Globe Award," Aguilera tells UsMagazine.com of the nod, adding that she's off to Paris to continue the flick's press tour. "Making this movie was a life changing experience and I couldn't be more pleased that the Foreign Press has recognized the hard work the cast and I put into it."

What's more, the crooner was also recognized for her performance of "Bound to You" in the film. The ballad, which she penned with singer/songwriter Sia Furler, will compete with Cher's rendition of "You Haven't Seen the Last Of Me" in the Best Original Song category.
Says Aguilera, "It is a ballad Sia and I wrote from the heart and one that I am extremely proud of."
