Confirmed: Sarah Palin's Show to Air on TLC

Former Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin will soon be appearing on the same network Jon & Kate Plus 8 once aired on.

TLC confirmed Thursday it would broadcast Sarah Palin's Alaska, an eight-part series about her home state.

It will be produced by Mark Burnett of Survivor and Celebrity Apprentice fame.
Says Palin in a statement, "Our family enjoys Discovery's networks. I look forward to working with Mark to bring the wonder and majesty of Alaska to all Americans."
TLC's parent company Discovery Communications won a bidding war against A&E, according to the Associated Press. Palin, 46, will make between $1 million and $1.5 million per episode, The Hollywood Reporter says.

A premiere date has not yet been confirmed.
Palin, 46, who stepped down as the governor of Alaska last July, is also a contributor on Fox.

19Why is TLC discriminating against the Asian guy. It takes two to make a marriage and to wreck it. This is a family TV channel. We expect to see both parents raising their children unless one is deceased. This show should be called Jon and Kate SEPERATED plus eight. I think that would be the fair thing to do. From what I know kate did play a pretty big role in ruining the marriage. Jon was too quick in looking for happiness after a bad marriage. Neither of them are free of sin so, be fair let those kids have a daddy on the show. It is unfortunate that the marriage ended but, the show should show that even when a marriage breaks up the best interest of the children is uppermost in the minds of the producers of the show. I loved the show when it showed a family unit. The kids are still adorable. Kate is a show boater and Jon, he's invisible. We need to see him with his children also. Do the right thing TLC. American children need to see that the father does not dissapear when the parents divorce. I will be happy to return to watching the show once the father is integrated into the episodes.

And I am not looking forward to boycotting Discovery as it is one of my favorite channels but atlas, I NOW WILL, apparently, Discovery doesn't listen to their feedback as I'm not alone.
SHE won't be making $1 Million +, that's what the SHOW costs per hour to make. Still a lot, but not all, or even most. going in her pocket.

I'm a fan of a few shows on TLC but I won't be tuning in to that network anymore if Sarah Palin is now one of their "stars."

Yes this is the same Sarah Palin who was elected the Governor of Alaska went off to run for VP and helped McCain lose that and then went back to her job as Governor and ran into some legal problems and decided to quit so they wouldn't be made public and write a book calling it rouge without looking up the meaning of that word, lol and go on hate tours against the first black President and now she wants to do a TV show about the state she embarrassed. Amazing. Wow this I have to see.. oh yeah she thinks shes president material, which would be the worst thing this country could ever do to itself. Thankfully all the republicans I know think she is a joke and want her to go away because the party is deteriorating as I write.
