CW Renews One Tree Hill and Nikita, Cancels Hellcats

Ashley Tisdale and Aly Michalka are out of work.
The CW will not be renewing Hellcats for a second season, the network announced Tuesday. Fortunately for fans of One Tree Hill and Nikita, both shows have been added to the fall 2011 lineup.

"Keeping your fingers crossed worked!" One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush, 28, told her Twitter followers. "Season 9 is officially picked up for 13 episodes!"

Added Austin Nichols, 31: "We just got picked up for 13 episodes. One Tree Hill cannot be killed thanks to the fans."

In April, The CW announced Gossip Girl, 90210, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and America's Next Top Model would be returning next fall.
