Proud mama! Demi Moore opened up to Us Weekly exclusively on Tuesday, May 19, after her daughter Rumer Willis took home the Mirrorball Trophy on the 20th season of Dancing With the Stars.
The 26-year-old daughter of Moore and Bruce Willis stunned viewers with her impressive journey on the competition show, gaining confidence as she danced her way to a win with partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
"I'm thrilled!" Moore, 52, told Us of her eldest child. "I think that she worked hard and she earned it and I'm really out of words — I'm just so happy for her, I really am. She's amazing."
Willis and Chmerkovskiy, 29, dominated for much of season 20, beating out Riker Lynch with partner Allison Holker and the pairing of Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess in the finale. The actress and singer got support along the way from her family members in the audience, including dad Bruce, his second wife Emma, and her little sisters Tallulah, 21, and Scout, 23.
"Obviously we're ecstatic!" Scout gushed to Us after the finale. "It's been such an amazing process but this is like unbelievable for our family and for Rumer. It's been such a magical experience and there have been so many beautiful people involved in this production and this show."
Willis nodded to her partner after the win, singing his praises to Us.
"Honestly, I'm happy for myself but I'm so unbelievably proud of him," she told Us of Chmerkovskiy. "To go through this journey — I've only been through it one time and it's a lot. You put so much of yourself into it and I can't imagine putting so much of yourself into it and then having your name not called, and so I feel like I'm happy for me and I'm so excited and proud for me but I'm so unbelievably happy and proud of him."
