Derek Hough's dance card is almost too full this spring! When the seasoned pro returns to ABC's Dancing With the Stars' 20th season next month, he'll be doing so while also performing with the famed Rockettes as part of New York's Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.
Hough, however, isn't worried — yet — about pulling double duty. "Where there's a will, there’s a way," the 29-year-old Hough tweeted Feb. 24, after ABC announced his return on Good Morning America.
Dancing with Hough for DWTS' 20th season will be Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin, 25. The five-time gold medalist -- a student at New York University -- will remain in NYC. "I’m so excited to be joining Dancing With The Stars for their 10 year anniversary!" Liukin tells Us Weekly. "I can’t wait for this fun opportunity."
Hough's decision to return comes one month after the star said he'd be too busy with the Rockettes show to compete on DWTS. A source tells Us Hough approached ABC about choreographing this season when his NYC schedule would permit, and that discussion led to his return. "All parties involved are thrilled this is working," the source said.
Hough and Liukin are joined on the 20th season by U.S. army vet and amputee Noah Galloway, Shark Tank's Robert Herjavec, legendary diva Patti LaBelle, Glee actor and singer Riker Lynch, model Charlotte McKinney, LMFAO's RedFoo, NFL pro Michael Sam, Hunger Games star Willow Shields, actress Suzanne Somers, and Demi Moore's actress daughter Rumer Willis. The 12th celebrity to compete will be announced prior to DWTS' March 16 premiere.
