Does American Idol’s Stefano Langone Deserve to Stick Around?

After a disappointing bottom two finish on American Idol's April 7 episode — and an even more shocking result when Pia Toscano got the bootStefano Langone came back with a vengeance on Wendnesday's performance show.

"Last week I was in the bottom two [with Toscano] and I was at peace," Langone, 22, reasoned. "It was a really tough night for me and for America. I have to just keep on moving and doing my absolute best."

During his coaching session with mentors Jimmy Iovine and Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am, Langone appeared defeated, but once he hit the stage to perform Boyz II Men's "End of the Road," Langone earned his street cred back.

"Forget you being in the bottom or whatever, you made the right move," enthused judge Randy Jackson, who added that original Boyz II Men member Wanya Morris would have said that the singer "slayed" his cover. "This is your best vocal on this stage to date."

Jennifer Lopez was just as impressed by Langone's comeback. "A few weeks ago I told you that you had to stop singing to stay and start singing to win. You looked at me and I knew then that you could do it and you did," she told the singer.
