The Miss USA pageant contestants pose in lacy lingerie and fishnet tights while rolling around in a bed for their official competition "glam" portraits.
Donald Trump, who owns the Miss Universe organization, defends the racy pics.
"We are in a different age. They are a little bit sexy but I'll tell you what -- everybody's watching, so I have no problems with it," Trump, 63, tells The Insider. "If you look at Miss America, it's now off network television -- and we’re doing better than ever, so I really have no problem with it."

Continues Trump, "The Miss USA Pageant and the Miss Universe Pageant just got renewed for three years by NBC. The ratings have been terrific."

Trump tells the New York Post that Prejean's photos "were quite a bit different. There's no open exposure [in the current Miss USA pictures]....they [are] very artsy and very beautiful."

62To Donald Trump: It does not matter if people are looking at the poctures. Those pictures should not have been taken. Women should be respected and not abused. We can be in a changing world but the morals should be intact and remain the same. Moral values do not change and we, as adults, should set good examples to our future generation. A woman who has beauty does not have to wear lingerie or be naked. Those piuctures are for those who live in the streets, do not have any education, desperate for easy money, etc... Ms. America represents not just herself but the American people! Her actions will reflect on us, americans. Why can't women be like before, when they were more reserved and respected. They have just gone wild and I feel sorry for the future generation. They do not have good role models. What they have now are people who hardly have clothes on, painted bodies, crappy language, broken families, sex addicted individuals, etc... This is the path we are leading them to:(

What does Miss America stand for, it's a representation of America. She was not even born in this country and should of never been in the competition to begin with. What is up with our country now a days when people from other countries can come and take what belongs to real Americans, born by blood. It's not just a pageant, they are going to represent the USA in the World Pageant. Take it for what it is worth, the pics are natural for alot of young women who have no guidance in life and don't know what their life is going to bring them, especially being crowned Miss America.
I can't believe people are freaking out over this so much. Really? REALLY? It's a BEAUTY PAGEANT. The whole thing was created to judge a woman's worth based on her appearance, and maybe a talent. Not to mention there's probably always been a swimsuit portion of the pageant, and a lot of those swimsuits are a helluvalot skimpier than a lot of lingerie I've seen. So we change the fabrics and the setting and all of a sudden OMG SCANDALOUS! Quit acting like beauty pageants are some sort of sacred institution. Just a thought...I would love to see Ivanka Trump (Trump's daughter) pose for Penthouse or Playboy and then see how daddy responds. It's okay when it's not your daughter, isn't it? Then again, these girls made a choice but it is more than a little tacky to include this as part of a pageant. I left the room when Joan Rivers crowed, "Look at those breasts!" about one of the contestants (like she was breeding stock or something). The pageant concept is antiquated and really an example of patriarchal values being internalized by the young women of this country. Those who are in power make the rules (social constructs) that we live by, and if a social construct defines that it's "empowering" for a woman to pose in lingerie, or be a stripper, or even make sex videos, or be on Girls Gone Wild, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who this construct really benefits. But girls today have taken on this construct and play right into it. Much to the delight of the men who have perpetuated constructs that define what is acceptable womanhood in this country for centuries. Internalizing such beliefs makes women complicit in their own oppression and then some can self-righteously argue "well, they had a choice" when in reality, they didn't. If you want the patriarchal (male) establishment to pay attention to you, take your clothes off. Then again, sex sells. And Trump is really just a highly paid pimp. But I still think the ultimate justice would be to have his own daughter take off her clothes for money and fame. Priceless!

It is really sad that a show that use to look at the beauty, intelligence, and attitude of a woman is now turning it to trash!!! She should lose her crown over this way more than Keri should have for her actions! Keri was thrown out for one reason and that is because she like many other Christians do not believe in gay marriage.

I'm just glad we didn't watch Miss America. What a disgrace to have these ladies posing in lingerie. Our little girls look up to these women, what are we as American's telling our younger generation?
First of all...these pics make the girls look like hooks! I would like to have seen ONE girl that refused to have them taken! That would have certainly shown some class and poise. "Miss Michigan" is a JOKE..she was terrible, almost fell, answered the question like she was a complete idiot. I am not sure what it is they are looking for. I thought that we were looking for a woman to represent the USA that stood for morals, beauty, intelligence and poise. Apparently not; what we got was a bimbo who won a pole stripping competition, thinks birth control pills are a "Controlled substance", and doesn't have the ability to walk in heels. Wow...The USA should be the joke of the Miss Universe pagent! Sad...very sad!

The Miss USA Pageant is to show off attractive women, they're goals of what they want for their future and how they can contribute to the young people of tomorrow; not to show off the new Hugh Heff wanna be Trump. You are doing a major disservice to women. The way to intergrity and character and beauty is through the inside of the heart not your personal satisfaction and greed!
I think that last new Miss America should give up her crown and hand it over to Miss Oklahoma. I don't think it is right for her to be Miss America.
