Drake may have started from the bottom, but these days he's really, really here. The "Worst Behavior" rapper, 28, just tied a major record, one that was previously held by a little band called The Beatles.
The Canadian performer now boasts 14 songs that simultaneously sit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, matching the number counted by The Beatles in 1964.
Drake's achievement follows the release of his surprise 2015 record If You're Reading This It's Too Late, which dropped last month to largely positive critical reception. The Grammy winner, who previously saw chart success with hits like 2009's "Best I Ever Had," 2012's "Take Care," and 2013's "Started from the Bottom," reaches the record with collaborations, which have become an integral part of his discography.
Drake's highest-charting track on the Hot 100 as of this week is the single "Only" off of Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint album. The collaboration with Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown currently sits at No. 16. It's followed by another Minaj-starring song "Truffle Butter" at No. 17.
"Energy," "Legend," and "10 Bands" off of If You're Reading This It's Too Late, take the No. 26, No. 52 and No. 58 spots, respectively. He also holds the No. 49 spot with "Tuesday," his feature on ILoveMakonnen's single.
Drake continues to count his entries on the chart with "Blessings," the Big Sean track that holds the No. 68 spot. If You're Reading This It's Too Late's "Know yourself" can be found at No. 70, followed by "No Tellin'" at 81, "Preach" at 82, "6 God" at 83, and "Used To" at 84.
The Degrassi alum gets his final two tracks on the Hot 100 in the last five spots. Both off of If You're Reading This It's Too Late, "Now & Forever" hit No. 95, while "6 Man" slipped in at No. 97.
In contrast to Drake's offerings, The Beatles reached their 1964 record with songs like "Can't Buy Me Love," "I Want to Hold Your Hand," and "I Saw Her Standing There."
