Bye-bye, Chad and Cheryl.
Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke were sent home on Tuesday's Dancing with the Stars — making them the last couple to go before next week's finale. Facing off for the big showdown: Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya, Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough, and Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
After getting the boot, football star Ochocinco told UsMagazine.com that he's "absolutely fine…I will miss everybody."
Ochocinco added that he's leaving with, he hopes, a lifelong friend. "I told Cheryl as long as she doesn't leave my life, I'll be fine. That's the only thing."
The flirty duo fueled romance rumors when Ochocinco gifted Burke with a lavish diamond ring during the competition.
"Getting eliminated, all the work we put in, it's hard," he admitted. "But the time that I spent with her was awesome."
He added that he wants to keep in touch with "all" his fellow competitors — but again, it's all about Cheryl. "The only one that really really means a lot to me is Cheryl."
"He's so sweet," Burke told Us. "We've built a really strong friendship and I hope we'll be friends forever."
Not that Ochocinco won't be playing the field: he's set to star in his own dating reality show The Perfect Catch. Might Burke make a guest appearance? "Possibly! Sure I'll help him find somebody!"
