Nicole Scherzinger -- who was crowned winner of the 10th season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars Tuesday -- tells UsMagazine.com she won't be keeping her coveted mirror ball trophy.
"I'm going to give it to my mom because she's the reason I really did this show," the Pussycat Doll, 31, told Us after the show. "This is for her!"

Despite being a frontrunner (her final dance, the jive, earned her a perfect score of 30), she still didn't think she'd win.
"It made me more nervous because people were like, 'Oh yeah, you're a shoo-in!'" she told Us. "I said, 'No, don't say that! Don't jinx us!'"

But she said she was touched when head judge Len Goodman told her, "There can only be one winner of 'Dancing With the Stars.' It should be you."
Said Scherzinger, "I started to cry right there. For Len to say that? I cried. I may as well have won then whether I got the trophy or not."

Her post-DWTS plans?
She said she and partner Derek Hough are headed to the Big Apple.
Added Scherzinger, "We're going to eat some red velvet cake and some brownies!"

71Erin's the one who capitalized on her "stalker" situation. Some people in the industry feel she staged the whole thing like D list celebs stage their sex tapes. Judging by the way she's acting I'm starting to believe they're right.
To erinandrewslostin2010: For someone to make fun of a stalker situation let alone comment that this woman is a ho and a loser is just sick. Whether a person is a fan of any of these people does not give them a right to make light of a stalker. It astounds me how viscious and full of themselves people posting on a board can be. Especially over a dance show.
lol. Erin Andrews ain't a winner! She got her butt beat by evan and nicole. maybe that "stalker" scared the attention h-o too much! Erin fails at the sports world and at life.
The most important thing is seeing people improve. Let's keep everyone on until the very end, and then everyone votes on both the best dancer and the most improved one.
I am a dancer and from the beginning until about the 3rd week, I thought that Evan was going to win, but being an ice skater he did have a lot or problems with his feet. Being used to a skate boot his feet were flexed when they should have been pointed. This did improve over time.Nicole and Evan were clear to win early, and although I know that hip hop is much different then ballroom, I also know that you can either dance or you can't.The advantage that people that have danced, is that they are more in tune with their bodies, are more comfortable with body movements so they don't have to fight the whole image thing that others do.They are also used to having to learn choreography and I do believe that it gives them an advantage. As soon as I heard what each of their final dances were, I knew who was going to win. Derek and Nicole had a powerful, exciting Jive that made everyone want to dance, Anna an Evan did a slow ballroom number which doesn't excite the crowd/viewers. TO JAQUE I agree thatquite often Derek does get better dancers, but I need to point out that he is an incredible Choreographer and capable of taking a person's strengths and going with them. Also, don't forget, that Kim won the last season with Donny
Ok people, Nicole was out the gate as soon as it was opened. She left her competitors in her dust and that's that. Truth be told I would have prefered if ERIN had won; Not taking anything away from Nicole. Just saying.
Nicole Scherzinger attended a performing arts high school. Then, in college, she majored in musical theatre: voice, dancing and acting. She did not finish college. Perhaps she couldn't compete against her peers at college? The frustration she frequently displayed on DWTS would seem to support that. As far as her going on that show, and competing against people who had no dance training or education -- it is like the 25yr old man who can't compete against his peers for women his own age, so he dates 18yr olds instead.
I hope they put on Octo mom on next season, she has 14 kids to feed n send to college also...whats good for the goose is good for the gander
Great Job Derek and Nicole!! Kate Gosselin makes Kenny Mayne look like Fred Astaire.
THIS IS TO: "Ok, let me get this right" @ 7:31 p.m., YOU ARE SO RIGHT. That's what I somewhat blogged on another page. Damn straight! If they were to have so-called rules like that, they (what I wrote), may as well have folks like Betty White, Buzz Aldrin, Kate Gosselin, Cloris Leachman, just to name a few. See where Iâ??m going with this line-up? I also wrote that, if they had a line-up like that, you can best believe that I would no longer watch DWTS. People go in for the glamour, the glitz, the pizzazz of it all. Come on now, can you see Betty or Cloris coming out in some of the get-ups that Nicole or Edyta, or Cheryl wore throughout the seasons? Puh-leeze! The FCC would frown upon it. Nonetheless, I have read quite a few blogs where people seem to think that people like Nicole Scherzinger shouldnâ??t have been allowed to dance in the competition because she has prior dancing experience. Yeah, the girl can gyrate and hip-hop like the best of them, BUT she was never experienced or trained for ballroom dancing. There is a big difference between hip-hop and ballroom dancing! And what about Evan? He, like you and I both indicated (me earlier on another page), is an ice skater. What is it? People donâ??t think that professional ice skaters arenâ??t trained in ballet in order to get all those graceful moves that they perform?? Well, they do! Men and women. So, if folks feel that Nicole shouldnâ??t have been featured on the show, well, neither should have Evan. But, in my book, Nicole deserved to be there just like anyone else.
I wish you people would stop the kudos for Nicole and the bashing of Evan. Yes, Nicole was the winner. So be it but leave Evan and the nasty comments about his personality out of the mix. He was the only one I saw out of the entire group of stars that listened intently to the criticism from the judges and thanked them for the pats on the back. He then worked on his dancing to make it better based on their guidance. Just because you don't like the tone of his voice or the blank stare you think he has, does not make him a bad dancer. Man, I would like to see you all do just as good. Keep in mind that he has always performed by himself. Having a partner was very hard to get used to and skating on ice is quite different then dancing on a hard floor. I found him to be a very polite, lovely, gentlman. You people probably wanted to see him come out and throw a tantrum like Max does. People are different. Get a grip and discuss his dancing not his stare.
Although I knew she would win, I felt that Len was way out of line in his comment that she should win PRIOR to the announcement of who actually did. What a slap in the face to Evan and Anna who, I felt, were just as good a Derek and Nicole. Let's see I think this is Derek's thrid Mirrorball Trophy. Why don't they give the other professional dancers a chance by letting them dance with the better stars as dancing? It's either Derek, Mark or Cheryl. I think Max, Tony, Kim are all excellent dancers and warrant a chance with someone who can actually take direction and can dance. Starting to get tired of seeing the same professionals winning all the time.
Oh boo hoo your favorite didn't win. Oh well, that's the show, if you don't like the format don't watch the show. Just like American Idol, America votes and not everyone is happy with the outcome. Well, Nicole won so I say congrats. She danced beautifully and received the most votes. Live with it. there have always been people on the show with more potential than others. That 's what makes the show interesting. So quit whining and live with it...IT's ONLY A TV SHOW.
She is gorgeous and with the exception of 2....."dancers" it was a great season. In my next life, I would like to look like her!
OK, let's make a list of some of the things people have mentioned to 'even things out', competition wise, on DWTS. Some potential things to include in new contracts: Said stars must not now be or have ever have been on a reality show. Said star must also never have danced in his or her career. This includes Broadway shows, award shows, or any thing else that would involve working with a trained professional. Said star can not have ever recived any training in dance, even if they have no used it in their career (not sure if this applies to childhood lessons or not at this time). All stars in each season will be about the same age range (perhaps a youth, adult, middle age, and senior season to be fair to all?) All facts will be checked and any information found out about prior dancing will disqualify said star. Does anyone see how ridiculous this sounds? I am curious if any stars would qualify for the show with those rules! No figure skaters for sure (ballet training usually figures in there), and many of Hollywoods elite would be left out. Many actors have danced on Broadway for a part, had some dance training for a part, or in a High School for the Performing Arts/College. I don't think I would even want to watch DWTS anymore if it was set up this way. How very boring! Half of the fun is seeing how well those with less training compete with those with more talent. Others with dance training have lost DWTS before as well, so it doesn't mean you are a shoe in. Also, as so many others have mentioned, one dance form is not like another. It may even be a disadvantage. It's like any other competition, not everyone has equal talent!
All of you negative people are being very ignorant. Nicole is not trained in the types of dances that they do on this show. She is trained in popping her booty, shakin it, and hip hop. Everyone on the show had to learn these types of dances. And to say that she had an unfair advantage is stupid because Evan and Erin both have dancing experience as well!!!!! Do a bit more research before you start running your stupid mouths!
Total B.S. with a capital "B'. I don't care a dam who one, but I do care that producers put a "Semi" professional, "D" list celebrity on the show that was years ahead of her competition. 31 year old fit woman against a male bashing housewife and a 80 year old american hero. Make the show fair next time and put other contestants with the same level against her. Call it "SO you think you can dance, Celebrity Edition". Oh, you might get a lawsuit from Fox. This season was a travisty. No more reality star PLEASE! They aren't celbrities. Not that ABC isn't tring to promote their shows, Erin and MR. AIRLINE PILOT who picked the wrong girl. Try and get some real celbrities between 19-40. Make sure the women are semi hot and the dudes can take their shirt off for the ladies. NOW you have a show. Get a real star...More like Pamela. Their are many b-list stars that will do the show that have had a hit movie or tv show.
Why all the nasty comments here? I don't hate Nicole but definitely think that people with professional dance experience should not be considered for this show. She had to learn specific steps, etc. but not how to dance and perform. I think it is most fun to see the stars that don't know what they are doing and then by the end they are really great dancers. That is what I thought this show was about. Obviously, Nicole got perfect scores on the first dance so she already knew what she was doing from the beginning. I felt kind of the same about Even but at least skating is not the same as dancing even though he has the performing experience. I think Erin should have won because she went from knowing nothing to becoming a really great, entertaining dancer. She improved the most.
Haters! She deserved to win because she put alot of effort into all of her routines and no one else really did. All they did was argue the whole time!!!!
honey you are the only one !!!! you must need therapy. It was a great finally except for the 2 nobodies dancing...the top 3 all should have won...
