Now that's some chemistry worth talking about!
His foxtrot with pro Lacey Schwimmer failed to put the Dancing With the Stars judges on notice, but "Loveline" DJ Mike Catherwood's TV antics have been noticed by others at the ABC series.
"A representative said Dancing with the Stars has told Lacey Schwimmer, my partner, [and me], that we need to focus more on dancing and less on raw, pure sexual tension," Catherwood -- known as "DJ Psycho Mike" to Los Angeles-area radio listeners -- tells AccessHollywood.com.
The 32-year-old DJ hasn't been shy about showing his feelings for Schwimmer, 22.
"When I walked into the studio and first met Lacey, I thought to myself, 'Wow, let's add to the embarrassment by making my partner an attractive chick,'" he revealed on the show's March 21 premiere. As for the pair's first round foxtrot performance? "The best part about the routine was grabbing her butt," RadarOnline.com quotes Catherwood as saying, via a source.
Catherwood's partner, however, insists to UsMagazine.com that the pair's antics are all in good fun.
"Yes, they approached us and said 'you guys need to tone down the sexual content in what you guys are talking about,'" Schwimmer told Us at Perez Hilton's Blue Ball Birthday Bash Saturday in Hollywood. "Yeah, we are very touchy-feely, yeah, we are comfortable with each other, [but] it's more of a playfulness. It's the stuff that we actually talk about on camera that we need to wrap it up with. It's all in fun."
As Catherwood prepares to dance the jive on Monday's episode, Schwimmer tells Us she works hard to keep him focused during rehearsals.
"It's hard to keep him to actually just dancing," Schwimmer says. "He likes to do everything but dancing in rehearsals. All the nasty stuff that boys do but you find hilarious."
