DWTS Stars Defend Kirstie Alley After George Lopez Pig Joke

Looks like the joke's on George!
One week after late night talk show host George Lopez ribbed Kirstie Alley's first Dancing With the Stars routine, comparing her to a dancing pig, Alley's DWTS costars are coming to her defense.

"I'd say to [Lopez], "You get out here." You think it's so easy? You sign up. Put your money where your mouth is. Leave Kirstie alone," pro dancer Mark Ballas told UsMagazine.com backstage after Monday's second performance show.
"She danced great two weeks in a row," Ballas continues. "She's got a great partner in Maks [Chmerkovskiy]. Our demographic is middle aged women who watch, and she's an idol and role model for these women!"

Alley's first routine -- the cha cha -- was slammed by Lopez, who joked that "She did a nice job. Her little hooves tapping away."
He went on, "Before the show, she went to the market and then she had some roast beef and this is her going all the way home." Lopez then played the nursery rhyme, "This Little Piggy Goes to Market" and showed a clip of a pig squealing "wheeeeeeee."

The 60-year-old former Cheers star's routine won raves from viewers and the DWTS judges, including Len Goodman, who called the performance "cheeky" and "entertaining."
Alley's fellow DWTS competitor Wendy Williams says the star is holding up well -- even after Alley lashed out at Lopez and refused his apology. "I don't need or want ur apology," Alley tweeted March 25. "I want your kidney dude..on behalf of ur X and all the women uv insulted...give it back."

Insists Williams: "Kirstie's a big girl and can handle herself….she danced great last week and great [Monday night]! So what."

Does George Lopez realized he insulted more then half of his over weight fans by his insults on Kristie Alley???? George is no prize so he needs to watch what he says.Kristie is doing great...I have alot of respect for her..I don't see George having the gusts to go on DANCING WITH THE STARS.

George Lopez is a disgrace and a sad excuse for a human being. The only joke that would be funny would be to have his sorry a$$ on dancing actually it wouldn't even be funny it would be nauseating. Good for Kirstie not to accept his insincere apology. She is a woman with class and he is a poor excuse for a man with NO class.
I'm really tired of all the fat jokes in general. People, young women in particular have so much pressure of them to be societies version of perfection and it's extreamily painful when you realize you can never live up to that. It's time to accept ourselves and eachother as we are and be supportive of eachother instead of cutting people down for no reason. George is wrong in this and I wouldn't have accepted his half ass apology either, it wasn't anywhere near sincere obviously.

Let him get his BIG head out there. I think she's doing an awesome job. Weight and age asied(didn't know she was that old really). Suck bricks George Lopez! I don't like you anymore! And he does look like a leather bag. Too Funny!
He was out of line saying those things about her. And Mark Ballas is right: He should get out there and do this two weeks in a row and then see how he feels. Kirstie is proof that you can do anything you want regardless of age, weight or anything else. She rocks!

I just Googled....Someone gave this BoZO a Kidney? He was a heavy drinker and who knows what else. His Kidney was like Pickle Juice. I thought these types were not deserving of Kidneys. I'm sorry to say again "Money Talks". Not right.

Elizabeth I totally agree with you! Although Kirstie has had some problems with her weight in recent years, her bone structure, face, and hair are gorgeous for 60! I hope she goes far on DWTS because she is a positive influence that the show could use. She has my votes!
George Lopez is a pig himself. I don't think he has a reason to put anyone else down. His head is the size of two basketballs put together. He has a weird face also. Like a pancake face.

I don't care what anyone says, Kirstie Alley did a great job and that doesn't have anything to do with what she looks like on the outside, it has to do with her talent and personality. She rocked the dance floor 2 weeks in a row & George Lopez needs to bend over and kiss her a*#!!
Jeez, can you imagine being 60 years old and still having gorgeous hair like Kirstie's? I don't care what her body looks like or how many aliens she believes in, she's a gorgeous woman with a great personality and that's why she'll win the show. Personality goes a long way.
