Sorry, Dad — your daughter stole the show!
When Ewan McGregor brought one of his four children to the New York City premiere of Miles Ahead on March 23, he probably didn’t think that he’d get upstaged. But that’s just what happened when McGregor brought his 20-year-old daughter, Clara, whom he shares with wife Eve Mavrakis.
Clara stunned in all-black attire: a silk romper underneath a tailored blazer with black booties, while Dad, 44, opted for a pair of tartan-print pants. Clara also wore black on her last red carpet in January 2015 for Mortdecai, where Ewan took on the role of Inspector Alistair Marltand.
According to her Twitter bio, Clara is a New York University student who splits her time between NYC, Los Angeles and London. She also moonlights as a photographer. In fact, her website features plenty of intimate black-and-white snapshots of her parents.
Clara may be all grown up, but Ewan isn’t quite an empty nester just yet. He has his hands full with three other daughters: Jamyan, 14, Esther, 14, and Anouk, 5. When he needs a break from the girls, he told Us Weekly that he dotes on his vintage car and motorcycle collection.
“I like to sell, and I try to make a profit when I sell so that I can buy the next thing,” he said. “Otherwise it could get really crazy. I really like these things. I can’t help it!”
Ewan plays fictional Rolling Stone reporter Dave Brill in Miles Ahead, the Miles Davis biopic that Don Cheadle directs and stars in.
