Fantasia Barrino wants to clear up the rumors surrounding her August 9 suicide attempt.
"I knew exactly what I was doing," Barrino, 26, says in an interview for VH1's Behind the Music (premiering August 24 at 9 P.M.). "You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills."

Earlier this month, the American Idol champ downed a bottle of Aspirin and a sleep aid -- hours after she was rumored to have appeared in a sex tape with a married man, Antwaun Cook, leading his wife, Paula, to allegedly file for divorce. Barrino spent two days in the hospital.

"I was tired of people doing me wrong, constantly over and over and over again, dealing with my family, dealing with my father, dealing with men and their bulls**t," she explains. "My head was hurting me, and I was over it."

I have a real problem with her discussing this situation with VH1 so soon after it happened. She obviously needs some help and should take some time to get her life together. Her daughter doesn't need a permanent record of her mother saying that she wanted to die because of some married man. It's sad that she didn't want to live for herself and her daughter.
Oh, so Fantasia is having troubles in her relationship WITH A MARRIED MAN. So, she decides TO LEAVE HER DAUGHTER BEHIND and "CHECK OUT." How selfish can anyone be??
