Fantasia Barrino Released From Hospital After OD

Two days after former American Idol Fantasia Barrino was hospitalized for attempting suicide, the singer's manager Brian Dickens confirms to UsMagazine.com that she has been released from the hospital.

"She has been lifted up by the outpouring of love and support from her fans," Dickens tells Us. "She is more committed than ever to her daughter and her work because they are her heart, her soul and inspiration."
In an eerie 911 call obtained by TMZ earlier today, a male voice (likely Dickens, who signed the police report), is heard telling police, "An individual took a bottle of Aspirin and she is slowly losing consciousness."

When the operator asks if 26-year-old Barrino is alone, he responds: "I'm outside, but somebody is with her inside." When asked if she is bleeding, he says, "Yes." He says she doesn't have a weapon and is not violent.
"She's in the shower. Her family tried to put her in the shower to try to keep her awake until the paramedics get there," the male says to the dispatcher, who responds, "Take her out of the shower and turn the water off."

The suicide attempt came just after the Idol winner had been the subject of rumors she made a sex tape with a married man, Antwaun Cook, causing his wife, Paula, to file for divorce.
Prior to the incident, Dickens told Us that the singer is "certain that she is not responsible for the deterioration of Cook's marriage."

AK, I'm glad u are a survivor & u explained the seriousness of depression. It's a physiological, chemical imbalance. Can someone help having diabetes or high blood pressure? No! When someone tries to take their life, think about them being at their lowest point & not seeing a solution. Just pray for ppl in this situation.

Yes, it was selfish of her to attempt suicide while she still has a daughter to care for. BUT until you go through a serious depression, you can never understand what it's like to be suicidal. I have been there, and I literally was about to put a knife in my hand when I finally decided to get help. She went through a bad experience with her manager in public, and it obviously consumed her to the point where she felt like death was the best option. Please don't say hurtful things! She needs to take a while to work through this! Until you've been on the brink of killing yourself, you'll NEVER understand!
Fanstasia mind was bothering her .She need to find god.It two do something u should of been a women and said no.especially you know he was married. Think about your daughter you would not know one her marriage

well concerning this sex tape that not normal at all a man make sex with a woman,and after go to put this sex on the internet ,that really wrong,i will do something wrong to him simple go to jail , because that not normal at all put sex people you intimate with on the net ,the law should punish seriously those people they do that that wrong...fantasia maybe call the woman to say the man he with me now because that all woman do,when they get a man,and this man even not belong to them ,they really curse the other one..even she was have the man before and sometime even is over between a married man and his wife ,if the man have kids he always try to return back always ,only if the woman really don't want him get the chance to be with the woman he as choose..and make people suffer for no raison ..because if is over with you wife for month and you be with be and then during the time you keep thinking about your wife that mean you not over your wife.and that wrong too because you betray the other one ..
