Bachelorette Ashley Hebert Picks JP Rosenbaum!

Sorry Ben Flajnik: Ashley Hebert says her heart belongs to JP Rosenbaum!
After both men got down on bended knee to propose to Hebert, 27, in Fiji, she accepted Rosenbaum's emotional proposal on Monday's Bachelorette finale.

First to propose, runner-up Flajnik didn't take rejection lightly. "I'm sorry. I know this was unexpected, and I want you to know this is the hardest thing I've done here. This is not easy," Hebert said as Flajnik, 28, walked away in stunned, angry silence. "You can't leave something like this on good terms. It's not possible," replied Flajnik. "I'm in utter shock and disbelief."
Shaken by his reaction, Hebert was able to regroup and gain her composure when Rosenbaum flew in via helicopter for his big moment.

"I've told you that my biggest fear is falling in love with you and having my heart broken again. I don't think about now, I think about forever, and it's hard to know," Rosenbaum reasoned during his proposal. "What I do know for absolute certain is that I'm madly in love with you. I'm so in love with you. You're the one. You're it. Ashley, will you marry me?"
"Today is the reason why I went through all the good times and the bad times," Hebert replied. "I've been wanting to tell you how much I love you for so long now. You mean the world to me and I don't want to be with anyone else but you forever."

The newly engaged couple's happy moments on Monday's show were almost marred by Hebert's sister, Chrystie, who expressed her strong disapproval of the 34-year-old construction manager upon their first meeting.
"I don't think he's The One," Chrystie told Ashley prior to Rosenbaum's proposal. "What worries me is that I think you're too much for him."

But her family's words of caution were no matter for the bachelorette, who accepted a dazzling Neil Lane sparkler anyway.
"My relationship with JP is everything I've ever wanted in a marriage," Hebert said of her fiance. "We have this passion for each other, but we also have this magical, unspoken connection where it's so easy and it feels like I've known him forever. He's committed and he's going to be a great family man. He is the total package for me."

Now that their relationship can go public, Rosenbaum is equally as excited for Hebert to become his wife.
"When I look at Ashley, I see a great, smart, beautiful woman, a great friend [and] a great mother," he gushed of his bride-to-be. "Ashley and I balance each other out perfectly. I don't want to picture a life without her. I can't wait for us to be engaged and for us to move on with the rest of our lives."

It was a rollar coaster of a season. Couldn't stand Bently and the fact that she couldn't see through the creep. The show was my favorite of all the tv shows though. Don't see how they can top this season, but will look forward to another! Happy for JP and Ashley, they are a beautiful couple, wish them the best!
Ashley and JP, I wish you the very best and a long lasting life of love, romance and caring for each other. The only regret I have after watching the show all season is that, Alshley, I wish you would have spared poor Ben from humiliation, you should have had the heart that Ali had with Chris, she did spare him the embarassment and humiliation. No doubt you already knew JP was the one for you, but you did lead Ben on to the very end, that was not honest of you, especially the last time we saw you on the bed with Ben, you were kissing so passionately and you put your leg over his thigh,you were so very close. How could Ben not think that he was the one, you showed him such affection on the bed.You sure were not sincere with him especially so very close to the final ceremony as you had to know he was not the one,so so very sad for Ben, he was always such a gentleman and so sincere with you... I hope that you sincerely regrette having hurt him so deeply. I still wish you a wonderful life of happiness, JP deserves it also.
Congrats Ashley and JP. I knew you both right for each other from the start. May GOD bless you both to live a happy and blessed life, and may you be blessed to marry and have bundles of joy(babies). Another bad decision. J.P. was insecure throughout--and Ashley's sister got it absolutely right. He's older and a little too bland for her exciting ways, and he knows (remember his "poor me, feel sorry for me" speech to her that got him a rose?) he can't keep up. Ben was the one, excited by the wonder of it all, and he got blasted. Nice guys finish.
I am so sorry Ashley picked J.P. She will eventually get her heart broken. I agree with Ashley's sister that he is not the one for her. I think she is going to find him very controlling b/c he is older than she is. Ben is a really sincere person. I just didn't get that feeling from J.P. There is something about him I just don't like. Ashley should have stopped Ben from proposing. I can understand why he is angry. She really embarrassed him by not just telling him good bye before the rose ceremony. That would have been the nice thing to do.
Ashley didn't MAKE Ben go down on one knee, but once he started, she didn't do much to stop him, either. I like Ben (and I hear he's happy with Britt Billmaier from Brad's season now), but JP is right for Ashley. Hopefully this relationship will last.
Of course Ashley picked the right guy, and if Ben (who is a great catch) would have really looked at her face he would not have gone down on one knee. I wish the new couple a wonderful life together and I am sure Ben will do just fine. He even thanked Ashley for the experience on the show After the Final Rose where he said she opened his heart and vulnerability that had been so closed off. People who criticize her need to get of their high horse and realize this is a production for TV. They all know it going in.
She did try (although not whole heartedly) to stop him before he got down on 1 knee by saying "umm, I...." but than he said 'before you say anything..and went into his proposal.
What a terrible self-important girl making the man she was going to reject get down on one knee and propose it was selfish and rude......shame on her and she feels she deserves happiness after treating a nice guy like that. When and if these two do not last it is all about the Karma.

They are perfect together and so in love. Ashley made a great choice!! I did like Ben alot but for her JP was the one!! I did not see her and Ben together forever

I agree that she should NOT of let Ben get down on one knee and propose. She should of stopped him before he got down on one knee
That was pretty lame of her to let Ben get down on one knee and ask her to marry him- super humiliating.. she could have saved him that and NOT let him do that.. she should have spoken up and said WAIT and then talked to him. what a B$(I*y*
It is amazing that no one said how much JP and Ashley's brother could of been twins. And might by why Ashley always put her trust in JP more than any other bachelor. She was more comfortable around JP than anyone else. The question unanswered was that of religious differences in Ashley and JP
now lets see if they actually make it down the aisle
