The ceiling is bewitched to look like the night sky. We read about it in Hogwarts: A History! If the Harry Potter books, movies, theme parks, interactive website, and studio tours weren’t enough for muggle fans of the boy wizard, true Potterheads (ages 18 and older) now have the chance to have a winter dinner in the Great Hall at Hogwarts. No, really.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, The Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour in London announced that it would be hosting the first Great Hall dinner on Thursday, Dec. 3.
For the cost of £230 (roughly $350) per person, guests get entry to the studio tour, a two-course dinner in the Great Hall with alcohol, soft drinks, butterbeer, and their own wand. Dessert will be served on Platform 9 3/4.
The magical meal will feature 10 people per table and will take place on the real Great Hall set.
“The Hogwarts dining room will be dressed for the occasion with the original props used in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, including flaming Christmas puddings and hams studded with cherries,” the official website notes. “A wand will be waiting for you at your table and you’ll enjoy the first two courses of a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings on the authentic set.”
