Henry Cavill, Kellan Lutz’s Immortals Tops Weekend Box Office

Who knew shirtless Kellan Lutz brought big bucks to the box office?

Immortals — starring the Breaking Dawn actor, Henry Cavill, Mickey Rourke, Freida Pinto and Luke Evans — was the number one movie in America this weekend. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the action flick brought in over $70 million in its opening weekend.

Adam Sandler and Katie Holmes' holiday family film Jack and Jill was the second highest grossing film in its opening weekend, pulling in $26 million at the box office.

Puss in Boots, starring the voices of Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, came in third according to the site, bringing in $25.5 million in it's third week in theaters.

Leonardo DiCaprio's J. Edgar came in fifth at the box office, following behind Tower Heist.

Although J. Edgar didn't top the box office its opening weekend, Warner Brothers tells the Hollywood Reporter that the historic film is posed to do well with adults throughout Thanksgiving.
