Now that Hilary Duff is preparing for her biggest role yet -- motherhood -- the 23-year-old has dropped out of the upcoming film The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. She will be replaced by actress Lindsay Pulsipher, Us Weekly confirms.

Pulsipher, who is best known for playing werepanther Crystal Norris on HBO's True Blood, is currently filming the History Channel miniseries The Hatfields and McCoys (opposite Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton).

"We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. Lindsay will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role," producer Tonya S. Holly tells Us in a statement. "This is a gripping story about two of the most legendary fugitives in history."

In August, producers Holly and Tom Rogers denied Duff was dropped from the film due to her pregnancy, instead citing scheduling conflicts. Gossip Girl guest star Kevin Zegers also left the project because he is not be able to film until January, producers told The Hollywood Reporter.

That is Not what I heard 2 Months ago this was way before Hilary was pregant! the real fact is the Producer Decided to drop Duff because she was Not the right Fit. If you dont believe Me Look It Up! I think all Duff Fans (even if there Haylie Duff Fans) should Protest against this Movie For Dropping Hilary!

Good! Now the movie will be good. Hillary Duff is okay as an actress but she's not convincing in serious roles. She's more comedy and slapstick like Amanda Bynes. Now it will be a better movie since stronger actors will be in it. No one takes Hillary serious as an actress but fans of her Disney days. Hollywood doesn't take these Disney turned "real" former child actors serious.
