Now that Hilary Duff is preparing for her biggest role yet — motherhood — the 23-year-old has dropped out of the upcoming film The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. She will be replaced by actress Lindsay Pulsipher, Us Weekly confirms.
Pulsipher, who is best known for playing werepanther Crystal Norris on HBO's True Blood, is currently filming the History Channel miniseries The Hatfields and McCoys (opposite Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton).
"We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in The Story of Bonnie and Clyde. Lindsay will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role," producer Tonya S. Holly tells Us in a statement. "This is a gripping story about two of the most legendary fugitives in history."
In August, producers Holly and Tom Rogers denied Duff was dropped from the film due to her pregnancy, instead citing scheduling conflicts. Gossip Girl guest star Kevin Zegers also left the project because he is not be able to film until January, producers told The Hollywood Reporter.
