Hotel Transylvania scared up moviegoers in its opening weekend.
The animated film took the top spot at the box office, raking in $43 million. The movie features the voice talents of Selena Gomez, 20, Adam Sandler, 46, and Andy Samberg, 34.
Looper, starring Bruce Willis, 57, Emily Blunt, 29, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, 31, debuted in second place with $21.2 million. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena's End of Watch finished in third place with $8 million.
Trouble With the Curve, starring Amy Adams, 38, Clint Eastwood, 82, and Justin Timberlake, 31, came in fourth place with $7.5 million, while Jennifer Lawrence's House at the End of the Street slid three spots to No. 5 with $7.2 million.
Rounding out the top 10 were Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson's Pitch Perfect (No. 6, $5.2 million), Ellen DeGeneres' Finding Nemo 3D (No. 7, $4.1 million), Milla Jovovich's Resident Evil: Retribution (No. 8, $3 million), Philip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix's The Master (No. 9, $2.8 million) and Viola Davis and Maggie Gyllenhaal's Won't Back Down (No. 10, $2.7 million).
