House of Cards Season 3 Trailer Released: Watch the First Official Preview

Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright in "House of Cards"
Watch Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) continue to maneuver their way inside the West Wing in the brand new season three trailer for House of Cards!

Still up to his usual antics in the Oval. The first official trailer for season 3 of Netflix' House of Cards was released on Golden Globes Sunday, Jan. 11, coinciding with Kevin Spacey's Best Actor in a Drama series win.

As witnessed in the final scene of season two, Spacey's bloodthirsty and ambitious protagonist Frank Underwood rose from the Vice Presidency to the West Wing after plotting his way to the top.

The new season preview doesn't reveal many details about the actual plot, but it promises more from scheming power couple Frank and Claire Underwood (Robin Wright), now the President and First Lady of the United States of America.

"Do you want to know what takes real courage?" Underwood says in the opening of the 45-second clip. "Holding it all together when the stakes are this high."

The trailer then flashes to scenes of Underwood addressing Congress, attempting to shake hands with what may be Frank's new enemy this season, that same individual grabbing Claire's face and making out with her in front of Frank, and public protests being staged presumably against the new leader of the free world.

In the background, the song: "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" by a Perfect Circle blares in perfect harmony with the anxiety-inducing preview.

"We're murderers, Francis," Claire notes in the final part of the teaser, to which he responds: "We're survivors."
