Looks like American Idol's Paul McDonald is a secret Twi-hard!
The 26-year-old season 10 finalist has been going on a series of virtual dates via Skype with Twilight's Nikki Reed, 22, reports the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now.

And as it turns out, Reed's not the only film star making an impression on the Idols. Reed's costar Taylor Lautner has even jumped in to chat with his No. 1 fan, 16-year-old finalist Lauren Alaina.
Alaina appears to be smitten, sending the 19-year-old Lautner a heart-shaped signal on the March 30 show -- a la his ex, Taylor Swift!

While McDonald and Alaina are crushing on film stars, contestants Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams are also hooking up…with each other.
After getting dumped by Stefano Langone (so he could woo Idol standout Pia Toscano), Reinhart, 20, moved on to Abrams, 20. But an insider tells Us their fling won't lead to lasting love. "This is a revenge move to get back at Stefano," says the source.

Geesh. Has there ever been this much "hooking up" on Idol before? This is so salacious and crazy. Isn't Taylor too old to be dating a 16 year old though? Is that legal in California?
