Ah, regrets!
American Idol contestant Casey James tells UsMagazine.com he didn't hear Simon Cowell urging him to kiss guest mentor Shania Twain on Tuesday night's show.
"Is that what he said? See, I want them to crank up the monitors because if I had heard it, I would have laid a big one on her," the 27-year-old Texas rocker told Us. "I would have went for it."

A witness told Us that Ryan Seacrest was ribbing him about the missed opportunity during the commercial break.
Love was clearly in the air on the Fox show.

Crystal Bowersox, 24, performed Twain's song "No One Needs to Know" for her boyfriend, Tony, who "raised his arm in the audience and blew her a kiss" after. (He is not the father of her baby boy, Tony.)
Bowersox told Us she didn't tell him she was dedicating the song to him beforehand. "He knew the song I was singing and he was like, 'Are you singing this for me?' I was like, 'Oh, well, you know, maybe. He's funny."
Aaron Kelly showed his affection... for his mom, with his tune, "You've Got a Way."

"I changed [the lyrics] so that it fits," he told Us. "'You gave me faith to find my dreams.' She pretty much encouraged me, she's been the whole reason I'm in this competition... She's always given me the strength to keep going in everything I do."
(The original lyrics included: "It's in the way we make love." Kara DioGuardi quipped that she presumed the 17-year-old is a virgin. Twain liked the performance, though, and mouthed "lovely" as he took the stage.)
Kelly's mom wasn't in the audience ("She was watching on TV," he said), but Season 5 finalist Blake Lewis was "sitting on the edge of his seat" during the show.

Poor Casey, with a comment like that, it only confirms as does your boyish looks that you don't have an ounce of testosterone in your body. I'm a girl and I'd plant more than a kiss on old Shania.
I dont know how many of you know this, but I LOOOOVVVVEEEE aaron kelly. I wonder if he's a virgin. Call me crazy (I've been called worse) but I wanna know!
Casey did go over and kiss Shania.
Casey DID go up and kiss Shania.
Casey DID go up and kiss Shania.
My ranking: Casey, Crystal, Lee, Aaron, Mike, Siobhan. Buh-bye Siobhan. Casey is the best overall musician and his vocals & song choice are peaking at exactly right time. Love Lee but his song was vocally inconsistent. Crystal abides simply because she is the most gifted & natural vocalist. These will be top 3. Hola.
I wish he would have kissed her, then she could have smacked the shyt outta him! I find him boring, and can't sing worth a dam.
lee is apparently tone deaf. no if's, and's or but's. i haven’t heard a performance from him yet that stayed consistently on point pitch wise. don’t know why they are going overboard praising him, when it’s obvious to even the most untrained ear that he has some fundamental problems that need some work correcting before i’d consent to spend a dime on anything he recorded. mike sang well, has a tone that is smooth and pleasing, but for some reason is coming across arrogant [boggles the mind], and thus looks vulnerable in the popularity contest idol really is. it’s a shame that this show is such a transparent popularity contest, because if it were a real singing contest, he’d be in the hunt every week. aaron had what i think was his best performance. country def is his bag, and i think it would serve him to just stick to songs in that vein, or let more of that side come through, instead of whipping back and forth trying to please these schizo judges. casey is taking baby steps to get out of the rut, and the shell he’s in performance wise. this guy to me – if he were a little looser, more willing to use the stage, has the right ingredients to be a contender for the finale. his voice is more than servicable, killer guitar skills, possesses that blond/blue eyed tom petty/surfer boy/gregg allman-esque look that still markets well. i really want to see him give a 'damn the torpedos’ performance just once this season. it could change everything. siobhan… i want to like her. she has a great voice, but just doesn’t know how to control it, when to restrain it, when to let it rip for maximum effect. i thought she was behind the beat in the first few bars, and it just threw the rest of her performance off for me. when she went for her trademark scream, i had just lost interest in the whole song. one thing though – it was pretty lively, and a needed uptempo number in another sea of boringness that are these song choices. not crystal's best night for me – song choice nor performance. something was just disjointed about the whole arrangement, but compared with the other contestants, she still stands out from them overall. i like her singing style, just not sure she’d be someone i’d purchase a full cd from.
