Following in dad’s footsteps? Jaden Smith dusted off his rap skills in the new music video for his song “Scarface.”
The artsy clip was directed by Smith’s pal Moises Arias (the Hannah Montana alum who was photographed in bed with Jaden’s younger sis, Willow Smith, back in May 2014).
“He’s just trying to make the pain go away, make the fame go away,” Jaden, 17, raps in the video, later adding, “Do I look like Scarface? We should go far away. Watching on Broadway. I ain’t get your call today. They say I’m famous, it’s hard to say.”
This isn’t the first time the actor has shown off his rap skills. He was featured in Justin Bieber’s 2010 song “Never Say Never,” and in 2012 he released the mixtape, The Cool Cafe.
And he’s also not the only one in his famous family to dabble in music. Willow, now 14, released her debut hit single, “Whip My Hair,” in 2010 and has released several less popular tunes since. And, of course, dad Will Smith got his start as a rapper in the late ‘80s and has won four Grammys.
