James Corden Steals David Beckham’s Thunder in Viral Fake Underwear Ad

Not all men would be comfortable stripping down to their briefs and posing next to David Beckham, but luckily for Us, James Corden is one of the few who are. The Late Late Show host — who’s been on a roll since taking over the CBS program on March 23 — got nearly naked with his fellow Brit on March 30, for a replay-worthy parody of sexy underwear ads.

Beckham, of course, has done his fair share of underwear modeling in the past, and looks as fit and chiseled as ever in the black-and-white spoof. (Those abs! Those legs!)

Corden, meanwhile — though less sculpted than his former soccer-playing costar — is a mesmerizing (if atypical) model, and steals the spotlight handily. At one point, he even does a flying leap across the screen.

“Is there a reason to life? Is there a meaning to my days?” the men take turns asking in the ad. “That’s why I need to feel secure, supported, free, cradled, alive, sexually aroused.”

The tagline for the fictional ad is also its punch line. “D&J briefs: It’s underwear for a man with a great body,” Corden says in his sultriest voice. “And David Beckham.”
