He's back! Jay Leno returned to The Tonight Show on Friday, Nov. 7, nine months after his emotional farewell back in February. The comedian managed to squeeze in a couple of (friendly!) digs at host Jimmy Fallon, and did what he does best — stand-up.

Joined by actress Lucy Liu, Leno mocked his successor, recalling a time Fallon, 40, asked him for car advice. "Look at these hands ladies and gentlemen. That's like a puppy's paw," Leno, who has collected over 130 cars over the years, joked. "This is the hand of a 5-year-old and it's actually pink!"

Leno, 64, continued to tease Fallon by telling Liu that she can confide in him if Fallon's interviewing skills aren't up to par. He noted: "This is your first time with Jimmy, but I was your first."

Leno stepped down as the Tonight Show host in February, but not quietly. In January, he said during CBS' 60 Minutes that it wasn't his decision to part ways with NBC.

"I think I probably would have stayed if we didn't have an extremely qualified, young guy ready to jump in," he said, referring to Fallon. "[He] is probably more like a young Johnny [Carson] than almost anybody since. And he's really good. So you go with the new guy. Makes perfect sense to me."
