Oh, the Rachel Green days! Jennifer Aniston revealed that even she can’t help but stop to watch reruns of Friends while she’s flipping through TV channels. The Office Christmas Party actress, 47, joked about the habit during an appearance on BBC’s The One Show on Monday, November 21. Watch what she said in the clip above!
“I can’t help it. First, I’m trying to remember which episode it is, and then half the time I’m saying to myself, ‘I don’t remember that,'” she told host Alex Jones. “You get sucked into the nostalgia of it.”
Aniston played Central Perk waitress turned Ralph Lauren buyer Rachel on the beloved NBC comedy, which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004. Aniston and her costars — Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc — went on to become as famous as the show’s theme song, The Rembrandts’ “I’ll Be There for You.”
“No one was really a big fan of that theme song,” Aniston admitted on The One Show. “We felt it was a little … I don’t know. Dancing in a pond?” she added of the opening credits. “A fountain felt sort of odd. We did it because we were told to.”
Earlier this year, the cast (minus Perry) reunited to honor TV director-producer James Burrows for a TV special — much to the excitement of fans. Schwimmer, 50, opened up about catching up with his costars in January.
“Well, it was just lovely to be in the same room and to honor Jimmy, who we all really love,” he told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “He’s a prolific director, and he really helped forge the cast as an ensemble and really clarified all those relationships from the get-go, so it was lovely to be there.”
