Jennifer Aniston may star in the upcoming Mean Girls spin-off Mean Moms

So fetch! The Mean Girls spin-off movie Mean Moms is moving forward, and the upcoming comedy may have tapped one huge star for a leading role.

According to Deadline, Jennifer Aniston is considering a part in the flick. Her interest is driven in part by the leadership of Sean Anders, who signed on this week to direct Mean Moms

The Emmy winner, 46, previously worked with Anders on 2014’s Horrible Bosses 2. Anders, who also cowrote the screenplay for the workplace comedy, boasts previous directing credits for Sex Drive and That’s My Boy

Currently without a release date, Mean Moms is an adaptation of the book Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads, which was written by Mean Girls author Rosalind Wiseman.

Wiseman saw big success with her 2002 release Queen Bees & Wannabes, famously inspiring the instant classic, Tina Fey-penned 2004 box office smash, starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried.

The four original stars are not expected to be included in the upcoming spin-off. Mean Moms follows happy, well-adjusted parents who move to suburbia similar to that seen in the mall-trolling world of Mean Girls. The couple is in for a huge awakening when they come into contact with the other local parents.

Aniston, who went dramatic for her part in 2014’s Cake, has few upcoming projects, giving her availability to shoot Mean Moms. The Friends alum previously played a wacky version of a mom for 2013’s We’re the Millers, starring alongside Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, Nick Offerman, and Ed Helms, among others.
