Lice to meet you! Jennifer Garner wasn't her most glamorous self when Ben Affleck introduced her to George Clooney several years ago. During her appearance on The Tonight Show on Wednesday, Oct. 1, the Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day actress shared a story about meeting the newly married heartthrob for the first time when she and her kids had lice. The best part of her anecdote? Her terrible impression of Affleck, which she said she does "with love."
"The first time — I mean, the only time, the only time — our family had this problem, it was a day where I had been combed through, I was keeping the kids happy...and you know, Ben had gone early and he'd showered, and he came out and he said, 'Hey, um, there's a party, I wanna go, let's go,'" Garner, 42, recalled, affecting a goofy, bumbling baritone.
"You do a great impression of Ben," host Jimmy Fallon interrupted, laughing. "That's a great impression."
"It's with love!" the mom of three assured him. Then, going back to her story, she continued, "I said, 'I can't, I need to shower. I mean, I'm in, like, cargo pants, and I'm nasty.' And he's like, 'Come on, I mean, we have a babysitter, come with me, I want you to go with me!'"
Eventually, she relented. "So...I go with him, because he acted like I was gonna be high-maintenance! I don't want to ever be called high-maintenance — I am not a high-maintenance chick," she told Fallon. "So we go, we show up, and the first person I see is George Clooney! And I'd never met George Clooney! And I was kinda like, 'He's so handsome! Oh my god!'"
