And while the audience might have been hoping to discover a few unexpected truths from the celebrity guests, they knew from the get-go exactly how they wanted to play this game!
"You choose either truth or door," Fallon told his guests, explaining the rules. "If you choose truth you have to honestly answer one of the personal questions … If you choose door, one of these dare doors will open and you must accept whatever dare is behind it."
Gooding Jr. was first up, and he didn't even contemplate telling a truth. Door 2 opened up and the People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story star was tasked with dressing up as a cowboy, and remaining that way until the end of the show.
Gooding Jr., 48, was game for the challenge and happily complied with his additional instruction, to scream, "Yeehaw!" whenever his name was mentioned.
Ben Affleck's ex was next. But if anyone was hoping for some juicy gossip from the mom of three, they were left disappointed when she quickly opted for door 3.
Looking concerned, Garner was given her task: to carry three frozen water balloons for the rest of the game.
Despite wearing a strappy black dress, the 43-year-old actress took her challenge seriously and studiously managed to keep all three balloons against her chest at all times!
It wasn't until Fallon took a turn that the truth chest opened and a question was given. "Tell us about the night you lost your virginity!"
