Jerry Seinfeld to Be First Guest on Jay Leno Show

Jerry Seinfeld will be the first guest on the premiere of The Jay Leno Show, NBC confirmed today.

Musical guests Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna have been previously announced to perform.

The talk show host will also feature a regular segment where celebs get behind the wheel of an electric car and race around a track.

"They can plow into a light post. They could roll the thing. but I've told it to a number of stars, and in fact, even Tom Cruise called and said 'Can I get in there early and practice?'" Leno said at a Television and Critics Association Panel last week. "I said, 'No, nobody gets to practice.'" Leno's primetime show premieres Sept. 14.
