“We are more in love today than when we married almost 32 years ago!” the former 19 Kids and Counting stars wrote. “By God’s grace, our marriage is the strongest and sweetest it has ever been!”

Their No. 1 piece of advice: “Individually pursue a close relationship with Jesus. The closer we each get to God, the closer we each get to each other.”

The pair also gave their own take on the classic “never go to bed angry” tip: “Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, which means don’t let offenses build up, but apologize and make things right quickly.”

“Never say put downs or negative name calling, but instead, praise each other with a grateful spirit,” the couple wrote. Tip No. 4: “Go out on regular dates and enjoy each other’s company.”

In their last tip, the parents of 19 kids recommended a book for husbands and wives to read together, His Needs, Her Needs by Willard F. Harley.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s tips could be useful to their 28-year-old son, Josh, who just exited rehab after spending six months in a faith-based treatment center in Rockford, Illinois, following his admission that he cheated on his wife, Anna, and was addicted to pornography. Anna has stayed by his side throughout the highly publicized ordeal.

“It was a crucial first step in recovery and healing for Josh,” the Duggars wrote in a blog post about Josh’s rehab stay. “We look to God for help and guidance and place all of our trust in Him. We are forever grateful for the love and prayers offered by so many and hope you will continue to pray in the days ahead.”

Currently, the Duggar family’s new series, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, is airing on TLC without any appearances from scandal-plagued Josh. The show follows Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, as they raise their son, Spurgeon, 4 months, while Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, work in Central America as missionaries with their son, Israel, 11 months. The program also features appearances from several other family members, including sister-in-law Anna.

Jill & Jessa: Counting On airs on TLC on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST.
