Jimmy Fallon Beats Bond Actor Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye Video Game: Watch!

Game on, Bond! Jimmy Fallon challenged Pierce Brosnan to a showdown on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, Aug. 19.

Fulfilling what he called a “childhood dream,” Fallon asked Brosnan to play the classic Nintendo 64 video game GoldenEye 007.

“One of my favorite things ever was this: the Nintendo 64 video game GoldenEye,” Fallon, 39, explained. “This is one of the best video games of all time. I loved it.”

Brosnan, who was the fifth man to play 007 agent James Bond in four movies between 1995 and 2002 — including 1995’s GoldenEye — said, “This is a good one! It’s very popular. I was no good at it, I played it once and shot myself in the foot.”

Despite Brosnan’s poor track record, the actor, 61, agreed to play GoldenEye against Fallon. The talk show host could barely contain his excitement, repeatedly shouting “Yes!” and giddily giggling as he prepared to take on Bond himself.

After reacquainting themselves with the Nintendo 64 controllers, Brosnan and Fallon faced off. They played the celebrated video game until the Bond star proved he gained little N64 skill since his last defeat, and suffered a crushing loss to Fallon.
