Wasn't him! Jimmy Kimmel used his late-night talk show to distance himself from one big rumor involving Dennis Quaid on Tuesday, April 14.

The funnyman, 47, weighed in on Quaid's now-infamous meltdown video in his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue, addressing speculation that he had something to do with the actor's profanity-laced rant.

"How many of you have seen the video of Dennis Quaid flipping out on a movie set?" Kimmel said to his studio audience before showing the viral clip of the Vantage Point actor, 61, screaming at those around him on a movie set. "So, I watched that video last night about 14 times — by the way, my favorite part was this: 'I can't even get a line out until Dopey the Dick starts whispering in your ear.' For the next eight years, I'm gonna call everyone Dopey the Dick. I might have T-shirts printed up."

"Anyway, I watched this a bunch of times last night, and when I woke up this morning, I was being blamed for it," continued Kimmel, who is famous for show pranks like the Worst Twerk Fail Ever video. "There are two dozen articles online, thousands of comments, suggesting that this a prank video and I'm responsible for it. I have to say, you know, it's disappointing 'cause you play 50 pranks and all of a sudden people don't trust you anymore."

While the Jimmy Kimmel Live! star claims he had nothing to do with the wild video, he did have some fun with it nonetheless. "Did anyone ever consider that maybe Dennis was doing voiceover for a new cartoon?" he questioned, before introducing the show's take on the clip: a cartoon of Daffy the Duck miming Quaid's rant lines.

Quaid himself chose not to comment on the widely watched meltdown. Us Weekly asked the Vegas actor about the video at Crackle's Upfronts event in New York City on Tuesday, but he said simply, "Oh, I'm not gonna talk about that."
