John Corbett on SATC 2: Carrie Could Have Affair With Aidan

In Sex and the City 2, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) may cheat on husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth) with ex Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) during a lavish trip to the Middle East -- so hinted Corbett during a Monday radio chat for On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

"I can tell you that the girls go to Abu Dhabi," the actor said of the sequel, out May 27. "And Carrie bumps into old Aidan."
Corbett got coy when Ryan Seacrest asked whether Aidan has a spouse of his own, noting, "Aidan may or may not be married." The Bradshaw-and-Big union, however, looks shaky in the trailer, Corbett said. "It doesn't seem like things are going that well in that marriage."

But, hypothetically, Seacrest asked, could Carrie and Aidan hook up again? "Oh yeah! Of course! There's always that vibe," Corbett replied

The real-life Mr. Big was just as vague about Carrie's marriage in an interview with Redbook. Chris Noth called SATC 2 "a great look into Carrie and Big's relationship and what marriage means to them...No matter how long you've know someone, marriage changes some things in unexpected ways...And it's a learning process for Carrie and Big."

Frankly it's Carrie who is now having the 'unrealistic' expectations. Why can't we just have a great movie full of fun without the dang worry of this every time. Carrie is the ultimate city girl and a down to earth guy like Aidan was never right for her. Opposites may attract but they don't live happily ever after in cabins in the woods in Manolos....
I could never stand Aidan and always wanted to see Carrie end up with Big. I will be so disappointed if she cheats with him. Aidan was just so wrong for her and Big so right. I do not know anyone personally who wasn't thrilled that Carrie ended up with Big in the end. All of my friends that watch loved Big.

Despite the fact that I always really loved Aidan, there was just something about the two of them that didn't seem "right" to me. He always cared for her more than she cared for him, and if they were truly meant to be together it wouldn't be that way. It took years for things to work out with Carrie and Big and now that they're together I kind of want to see them staying together.

I Love Aidan and I hated how mean she was to him in the series, but I think that was because she never fell out of love with Big. I would have been happy if she had ended up with Aidan at the end of the series, but I think she was just always met to be with Big. I am glad that they are bringing him back for the movie though. It will be interesting to see what happens....can't wait until May 27th!
To add to 'Sharon Couto' comment its completely true what you are saying. In the 'Sex and the City, Kiss and Tell' book. The producers talk about the fact that when Aidan left the show the first time, his fans got together and sent in miniature wooden chairs and Popsicle sticks urging HBO to bring back Aidan, they would write "Don't leave Aidan Unfinished!" Out of all of the Men on the show Aidan was always a fan favorite. I was hugely disappointed with the last movie myself and if it wasn't for the return of Aidan I probably would not see this movie. In the Sex and the City novel, Big and Carrie don't actually end up together...And Big refers to himself has a fantasy for Carrie.
I have the series on DVD and there's an interview in the bonus feature DVD where producer Patrick is interviewed and he says that he brought Aidan back the second time around in the series because the viewers were begging the writers to bring him back. Most viewers were disappointed when Carrie ended up with Big in the end. I honestly thought that the first movie was gonna bring Aidan back and even though I felt bad for Carrie I was happy when they didn't get married and throughout the entire film I just kept praying for Aidan to show up. I was pretty disappointed with the content of the film but now that Aidan is coming back I have a feeling that the writers were bombarded with criticism regarding Carrie staying with Big yet again and decided to bring Aidan back just like they did in the series. Hopefully they didn't make the same mistake over again and have Carrie stay with Big... go Aidan!!!

I would love it Carrie ultimately chooses Aidan!!!!!! He has always been my favorite for her!!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you SATC for bringing back Aidan!!!!!!!! I screamed when I saw the trailer, because I thought my dreams of them getting back togather were futile!!!! I can't wait to see the movie!!!!! I will be first in line to see THIS reunion!!!
