From Nashville to Port Charles! Jonathan Jackson is headed back to General Hospital, Entertainment Weekly confirmed on Wednesday, June 3. The Nashville star will also be joined by his former TV brother Nathan Parsons.

Jackson, 33, and Parsons, 26, will reprise their roles as Lucky Spencer and Ethan Lovett, respectively, to send off General Hospital veteran Anthony Geary. Geary played their father, Luke Spencer, on the smash ABC soap opera.

Jackson, who won five Daytime Emmy awards for his GH work, left the series in 2011 after a collective eight years since initially joining the cast in 1993. Parsons exited in 2013 after four years, and went on to work on shows including True Blood and The Originals.

Geary, 67, announced last month that he would be leaving the popular show after 28 years. He worked on the series from 1978 to 1984, and returned in 1993.

“I’m just weary of the grind and have been for 20 years,” he said in a statement, via TVLine. “I really don’t want to die, collapsing in a heap, on that GH set one day. That wouldn’t be too poetic.”

Geary’s on-screen wife, Genie Francis, will also reprise her role as Laura Spencer for the farewell. The couple’s characters made television history when their wedding episode garnered a whopping 30 million viewers in 1981.
