Meghan Linsey isn’t interested in accepting a rose from Juan Pablo Galavis. The former Bachelor star, 35, plays the country singer and Voice alum’s hunky ex-boyfriend in her new “Exes and Friends” music video, which debuted Tuesday, November 29.
In the three and a half minute clip, Linsey, 30, runs into an ex-lover — Galavis — at a party, an experience that leaves them both feeling slightly uncomfortable. While they do their best to avoid each other at the bash, the awkward exes are eventually forced to acknowledge one another.
After what looks like a rather tense conversation with the Venezuelan-born reality personality, Linsey belts out the chorus of the song: "Somewhere between exes and friends, that's where we are."
Linsey — who was runner-up on season 8 of The Voice in 2015 — took to Twitter Monday to share some behind-the-scenes clips of herself and Galavis filming the video, which also features a cameo from Insta-famous dog Doug the Pug.
“We had WAY too much fun shooting this video!” she gushed. “I cannot thank @itsdougthepug and @JuanPaGalavis enough for being a part of it! @NBCTheVoice.”
The Louisiana native opened up to Billboard Tuesday about Galavis’ participation in “Exes and Friends.”
“I think he kind of got a bad rap on the show,” Linsey — who isn’t an avid Bachelor fan and had no prior acquaintance with Galavis — told the publication. “But I was pleasantly surprised at how nice he was, and chivalrous, and a good human.”
