Kanye West and Lady Gaga Tour Canceled

Just days performance dates were announced, a joint tour with Kanye West and Lady Gaga has been canceled.

Live Nation made the announcement Thursday but did not offer any explanation, according to the Associated Press.
The tour -- titled "Fame Kills" -- had been in the works for months and was set to kick off next month, on Nov. 10 in Phoenix and it was planned to run through at least January.

The news comes less than a month after West made headlines for ambushing Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 13.

After multiple apologies posted to his blog, he blamed not taking time to grieve over his mother's 2007 death as the reason for his outburst during an interview on Jay Leno's show.
"So many celebrities, they never take the time off," he said. "I've never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour. I'm just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else's hurt... But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I'm going to make it through the rest of this life, how I'm going to improve."

After watching Lady GaGa on SNL, I understand why Kanye cancelled the tour. Her skit with Madonna was awful! It should of been Madonna & Britney, the Queen of pop & the Princess of pop. Good luck to Lady GaGa!

Ye - you are ignorant. I don't care what color you are. Kanye was out of line and, contraty to his belief, he is not the 'chosen' one. He isn't alone in the music industry -- there are hundreds of talented successful artists. It's just that Kanye and his fans are ignorant and think they are the only thing going. It's a shame because he won't achieve everything he could because he's his own worst enemy. He is going to be remembered for his outbursts and addictions -- not his music and that's sad. He should think about his legacy and why he sabatoges his own success. He is one screwed up dude, and so are you, 'ye' and Dee and Mel -- however many names you are using.

I don't think that people are in awe of Taylor's talent. She has a few songs I like and I guess she writes her own stuff and plays guitar. But I have always believed that people (well, girls) like Taylor because she's just the everygirl. She didn't fit in at school, liked the guy who never liked her back, had her heartbroken. She's just a cute girl who has been through what every girl goes through a girls relate to that and like that. Obviously enough people liked her to vote for her. the VMAs and pretty much every other awards show is not about talent but popularity.

I agree with Mel. What Kanye did was horrible. Never should have happened. But I am also amazed at how great everybody thinks Taylor is. She writes her own songs, but her lyrics are nothing earth shattering. And her voice is average, at best. That's just my opinion. The millions who bought her album would probably disagree with me. lol
It was wrong for Kanye to do what he did at the VMAs. But, I am sorry, Taylor Swift is NOT that talented. She is just another blond chick on the scene, that everybody feels sorry for, now. Ok first of all whoever said the person who someone needed to use spell check for the word arse that's the term often used with the British so maybe the person writing it was British, 2nd yes Kanye did say those things about his mother on Jay Leno so US wasn't wrong they are sometimes wrong, but not in this case. I personally think Kanye is using his mom as an excuse remember the Hurrican Katrina fundraiser and the comments he made about President Bush that was in 2005 if his mother was still alive then what was his excuse then? He was on a local radio station here in Arizona and he said a long time before the vmas that he wanted to go on stage in support of Gnarles Barkley when Dixie Chicks won instead of him at the Grammy's. So this was not exactly spur of the moment for him. And really what is so great about that Beyonce video anyway?
Well maybe Kanye is finally taking the time off to go to grief counseling and to learn how to come back down to earth and not act like such a JERK.
