Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have been sued for $75 million in debit card damages -- and they didn't even slap down the plastic themselves.

The sisters, along with mom Kris Jenner, are being sued by The Revenue Resource Group for breach of contract after they pulled out of promotional duties stemming from the launch of their branded prepaid debit card.

The reality sibs' MasterCard-branded card was canceled just weeks after its November launch because it carried "outrageous" fees, and caused the Attorney General of Connecticut to open an investigation.

In a statement released Nov. 29, the Kardashians' lawyer said: "The Kardashians have worked extremely long and hard to create a positive public persona that appeals to everyone, particularly young adults. Unfortunately, the negative spotlight turned on the Kardashians as a result of the Attorney General's comments and actions threatens everything for which they have worked."

Now, the company that licensed the Kardashians' images is taking the family to court for reneging on their two-year deal to promote the plastic.

"The company waited a month to file hoping this would work out. They didn't want to sue," RRG head attorney Scott Rudd tells E! News.

Rudd adds that the terminated deal and associated negative publicity has "effectively put this company out of business."

A case management hearing has been set for May 2.

@ShannonHopp .. I totally agree with you, they had the list of fees sent to them twice, they didn't CARE/REALIZE what they meant ... can't screw over a company .. sorry ladies

They should be sued for being on the air, and all the people who watch these h0s.

This tells me how completely greedy these trollops are. Of course they knew about the fees, but the dollar signs were much too big in their eyes to give a flying fart about how "kids" will be suckered. All you adoring fans of these women, please get a clue. I truly hope that they are held responsible for a huge portion of what they are being sued for. I realize that they aren't known for their big brains, but they need to learn that their celebrity is not going to get them out of being stupid with their signatures in the corporate world.

As smart as they are they obviously didnt get their lawyers to check the fine print for these cards..... like the fees.... too busy seeing dollar signs... either that or they thought the American public was too stupid to work it out.....FAIL

Karma is a biotch! It took me less than 1 second to look at those fees and realize this was a bunch of bullshyt. I wonder why no one in their camp didn't see what I saw....hummm? Trying to make a buck off lil kids, eh? The 250 dumb asses who bought this card got thier money back

They have bitten off more than they can chew this time.. coporate america strikes back!

  • January 08, 2011 - 3:16pm Sabrina Oleson

Granted, they should not have breached their contract, but they shouldn't have signed up for the deal with the card as it was. Everyone should just get their money back... the ppl who signed up for the card and the company if they paid the Ks' a fee... since the deal was shady they shouldn't have to pay a crazy amount though!

  • January 08, 2011 - 3:01pm Shannon Taralynne Jones

Bankrupt Kardashian?? I don't think they will have to pay 75 mil, but maybe 15-20? The actual news story from Fresno claims that they received a "list of the fees" and they signed the contract anyways. It wasn't until bad press, that they decided to withdraw. Also, their retraction to the company was pathetic. Sorry Kardashians you can't screw over corporate America.

HAHAHAHAHA this is so funny, I hope hey go to jail if they don't pay, then we wont have to hear about them ever again!
