Send help! Karen Huger defends previously referring to Gizelle Bryant‘s hairdresser Kal as “the help” in The Real Housewives of Potomac‘s season 1 reunion on Sunday, April 10, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The Bravo series’ preview clip shows Bryant saying at the reunion that it was “offensive” when Huger used the term to describe Kal at Charrisse Jackson Jordan‘s crab boil earlier in the season. Huger replies that she felt the term was fitting, with Bryant countering that Huger only used it to retaliate against Kal for calling her a man.
“This is clearly a woman, honey, and if he thought this was a man, I might need to take him in the back room and show him,” Huger quips.
When Robyn Dixon says that it is wrong to refer to people in the service industry as “the help,” Huger fires back, “Calling him the help was the best thing I could do. … I know what ‘the help’ is, OK? I don’t need a lesson on it.”
