Testing the waters! Kate Gosselin is back in the dating game. The 40-year-old mom of eight went on a blind date in a sneak peek from the Tuesday, January 19, episode of Kate Plus 8.
Thanks to the help of her makeup artist, Gosselin got set up with a man named Vann for a fancy dinner in New York City.
“I knew that he was a single guy, he’s very good-looking [and] a very hard worker, so I knew he would pique her interest,” the reality star’s friend explained of the eligible bachelor, who claims he doesn’t know who Gosselin is.
“So how is it you find yourself single minus eight kids … at this stage of your life?” Gosselin asks Vann over dinner and a glass of wine. “I’m comfortable enough in my own skin. I’m not unhappy where I am. Hopefully, at some point, the right thing comes along,” Vann explains to her.
“I think from the experience I’ve been through, my main message to my kids is never settle and do be comfortable with yourself … so you’re not just marrying and being with the first person that comes along,” Gosselin continues, adding that “this time around” she has to be “extra choosey.”
“The bar is set much higher,” Gosselin explains. “Because it matters so much more.”
The TLC star, who split from ex-husband Jon Gosselin in 2009, was last linked to millionaire Jeff Prescott. The couple split this past September after eight months of dating. Prior to Prescott, Kate was linked to her bodyguard Steve.
