Kate Winslet Recreates Famous “I’m Flying” Titanic Scene on Side of Cliff: Watch!

Never let go of that wire, Winslet, never let go.

Kate Winslet trusts Bear Grylls just as much as she trusted Jack Dawson. Appearing on NBC’s Running Wild, the Oscar-winning actress recreated her famous “I’m flying!” scene from Titanic. But this time, the actress steered clear of a ship and instead recited the lines as she scaled the side of a cliff.

“Jack! I feel like I’m flying!” Winslet, 39, yells in the clip.

“Kate, do you trust me?” Grylls calls from down below.

Winslet replies, but quickly snaps back to reality. (She’s hundreds of feet above the ground, after all!)

“You jump, I jump, right?” Winslet asks, before adding: “Alright, come on, get me down this f—king thing!”

Winslet starred opposite her real-life BFF Leonardo DiCaprio in the 1997 James Cameron-directed drama. The record-breaking tearjerker — Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On,” anyone? — earned $2.19 billion at the box office, and was nominated for 14 Oscars.

Dion’s ballad won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, as well as several Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. But Winslet, for one, can’t stand it! In an interview with MTV News back in 2012, the star said the movie’s theme song makes her “feel like throwing up.”

“I wish I could say, ‘Oh listen, everybody! It’s the Celine Dion song!’ But I don’t,” Winslet said at the time. “I just have to sit there, you know, kind of straight-faced with a massive internal eye roll.”

In fact, she refused to sing the tune during an Italian TV talk show back in the day. “They actually had a live pianist who started gently playing the theme song,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘No! I’m not going to do that.’ They’re like, ‘Oh no, come on, it will be funny.’ No, it won’t be funny. At all. And I’m not going to.”
