She’s back at it. Kelly Osbourne congratulated good friend Melissa Rivers on her return to Fashion Police on Monday, Aug. 31.
“@MelRivers congratulations on an awesome show tonight!” Osbourne, 30, tweeted. Rivers, 47, replied: “@KellyOsbourne I love you!!! The flowers are amazing and you owned the lavender carpet! Xxx #friends #mysister.”
Rivers – who is a producer on the show – replaced her late mother, Joan Rivers, following her tragic passing last year. Friday, Sept. 4, marks the one-year anniversary of her death.
Back in March, E! announced that the series would be taking a hiatus after Osbourne and Kathy Griffin stepped down from the panel (after Griffin only appeared on a few episodes). The shake-up came one month after co-host Giuliana Rancic made headlines — during their post-Oscars special — for implying that Zendaya’s hair smelled like “patchouli oil” while attending the Academy Awards. Rancic, 41, publicly apologized for the debacle, but severed her relationship with the British star because of the incident.
“I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SERIOUSLY QUESTION STAYING ON THE SHOW!” Osbourne tweeted at the time. “You guys do realize that @Zendaya is my friend right? I WILL NOT BE DRAGGED INTO THIS! The situation is being rectified like ADULTS by both parties. I hope you can leave it to them & do the same!”
Since then, Rancic – who will continue to be on the Fashion Police panel – left her hosting position at E! News after 14 years. Osbourne has guest-hosted on The View, and recently teamed up with MTV to report from the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. She’s still not fond of Rancic, however.
“I will never admit to liking Giuliana [Rancic] because I don’t,” Osbourne recently told The Wrap. “I don’t think she’s a good person and I think she’s a liar.”
