Kelsey Grammer isn't done talking about the bad old days with his ex-wife Camille.

Days after the former Fraiser star argued that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a "parting gift" to his third wife, the actor is opening up about Camille's motivations in their marriage.

Speaking to Piers Morgan Monday, Kelsey, 56, said that the newly-minted reality star, 43, married him for his industry status. "I think she married me because I was 'Frasier,'" Kelsey argued, referring to the TV character he made famous in primetime from 1993-2004.

Once he saw stars in his ex's eyes, Kelsey offered her the "parting gift" of Housewives. "Whether or not it worked well for her doesn't matter," Kelsey told Morgan of Camille. "It was my way of saying, 'Look, you always wanted to be famous. Here you go.'"

While the actor argues that reality TV is not a direct path to stardom, "you still get attention; you still get all those things that come along for the ride, which I think is what she was most interested in," he told Morgan.

As their marriage disintegrated on camera, Camille has said that in hindsight that she realized her husband may have had an ulterior motive when he signed on to do Broadway. "Looking back, maybe he wanted to keep me preoccupied in California while he was off having his affair in New York," ex Playboy model Camille told the New York Post last year.

Kelsey told Morgan he wished he was more upfront with Camille about the fact that their relationship wasn't going to make it.

"I was trying to do some noble gesture to make the destruction of the previous marriage go easier somehow and that was a mistake," says Kelsey, who began dating current wife Kayte Walsh, 30, while he was in New York City performing on Broadway. "I should have walked home and said 'we're done. You finally have everything you wanted, and I've found a new life.'

Kelsey married Walsh in February 2011 at NYC's Longacre Theater, where he staged La Cage Aux Folles. He famously expedited his divorce from Camille two weeks earlier in order to fast-track his nuptials with the British flight attendant.

Considering what a d.o.u.c.h.e. Kelsey is, I can believe that statement. He has nothing else to offer a woman.

Oh and I guess your new wife is with you because you're just such a GREAT guy?? Has nothing to do with your fame and money, right?! Camille is no saint but she should count her blessings to be rid of this guy and for leaving with a good settlement for her and the kids.

His wife Camille is lucky to get rid of him and stil stay rich . Most women left with kids over younger girls and has no house to live, money, support . Waist their health, years on their husbands, kids and left old, unhealthy, heart broken alone to rise their kids by themselves .

Kelsy Grammer should hook up with Halle Berry! Never have there been 2 such dedicated professional victims as those two.

Kelsey wants a gag order for Camille. I think that Camille should get a gag order out on Kelsey. He does not know how to shout his mouth. I have not heard Camille say to much about him lately. I never did care to much about Kelsey and oh yes Kelsey how many times have you been marry? I remember one of your ex-wifes writing a book about you and you are not a very nice person.

Maybe you shouldn't have cheated on your wife..ohhh so noble of you Mr. Grammer. I think Camille is right when she says he put her on to Real Housewives to hide his behavior....why still comment on it now. He is only making himself look like the jerk he really is....if he cheated with you to the new Mrs. Grammer, what makes you think he won't cheat on you. Just Sayin......

He is trying to spin his disgusting behavior into a "poor me" scenario. A LOSER. Go away and get into your rocking chair Grandpa!

  • October 18, 2011 - 12:12pm Dee Sclafani

What a complete idiot. He's a legend in his own mind. He was the one to commit adultery. Did he forget that? And it's all Camille Grammer's fault.

  • October 18, 2011 - 11:47am Kimberly Paric

Shut up Kelsey! Quit trying to squeeze publicity out of this divorce and start thinking of your children.

  • October 18, 2011 - 11:45am Barbara Codner

It's always something. It's never his fault. 4 marriages and he's the victim. Give me a break!!
