Wait, Kevin Bacon wasn't invited to the big Hollywood premiere of Footloose 2011?

Now 53, Bacon became a household name when he starred in the original 1984 classic film, about a small-town teen who brings dancing and rock music back to a religious town.

Bacon apparently wasn't part of the festivities when the 2011 remake -- starring Kenny Wormald in the lead role, opposite Julianne Hough and directed by Craig Brewer -- had its big splashy debut several weeks ago in NYC and L.A.

So, two weeks after the flick hit theaters, Bacon caught a matinee of the new Footloose in Boston, sharing a pic of his ticket stub on his WhoSay page.

"F-Loose!" Bacon wrote. "Just saw it. Congrats to Craig, Kenny, Julianne, Dennis [Quaid], Andie [MacDowell], Miles [Teller] and the rest of the cast. U guys rocked it!"

Met with middling reviews, the remake of Footloose has earned nearly $31 million after two weeks in theaters.
