Never a dull moment! Sunday's season finale of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami was a bit of a roller coaster for the Kardashian sisters. Over the course of the one-hour episode, Kim and Kourtney had a huge falling out, made up, spent the night in the emergency room together, and shared some happy news with the rest of their family.
The drama started when Kim hired a private investigator to tail Kourtney's longtime boyfriend Scott Disick. Kim insisted she was just "trying to protect" her sister, but Kourtney didn't want to hear it. The two angrily had it out in the hallway of their home, until Kourtney got so furious that she kicked Kim out. "Seriously, how dare you get involved in my family and try to break things up?" the mom of two (to Mason, 3, and Penelope, 8 months) yelled. "Hiring a private investigator to follow Scott? That's not okay to come into my life and get involved."
She then proceeded to storm into her sister's closet to grab an armful of clothing, which she threw over the second-floor balcony and onto the driveway. "Kourtney, that's couture!" Kim exclaimed.
"I don't care what it is," Kourtney replied. "You need to get out of here."
Kim left to go stay with her pal Jonathan Cheban but was reunited with her sister a short time later when she began experiencing severe stomach pains in the middle of the night. Scared, she called Kourtney to take her to the hospital. "I know you're mad at me, but I need you to come pick me up at Jonathan's," she said. "It's an emergency."
Kourtney set aside her anger and immediately rushed to Kim's aid. "As mad as I am at her, something like this overrides all," she explained.
Once the two were en route to the emergency room, Kim confided in her sister about why she was so worried. "I have to tell you something, but I don't want to tell Khloe," she began. "You're gonna die. I'm pregnant…and I have, like, the worst stomach pain ever. I just don't know what to do. I'm freaking out."
The pain turned out to be a burst ovarian cyst. Both mother and baby were fine, but Kim's worries persisted. Later, as she packed to return to L.A., she told Kourtney that she wasn't sure she was prepared to be a parent. "I just cannot believe I am having a baby," she said. "Kanye [West] and I are like, 'Is this happening?' Oh my God. Am I ready for this? Like, can I handle this?"
She went on to explain that she had planned to freeze her eggs because she didn't want to get pregnant until her divorce from estranged husband Kris Humphries was finalized. "This whole experience for me has been just shocking. Exciting, but shocking," she said. "I really needed to digest it. I needed that time to myself before I was ready to tell anyone."
Kim was especially nervous to break the news to her sister Khloe, who has long been open about her struggles with infertility. "It kills me inside that I have not yet told Khloe I am pregnant," she lamented. "She has been trying for a while, so I want to be sensitive in the way I tell her…This is so emotional for me — what if she just starts crying?"
She needn't have worried. Khloe was beyond thrilled for her sister. "If something good is happening to you, why would I not want that to happen for you?" she asked. "The more babies, the better!"
"Your ass is going to be so big," she joked, adding seriously that she was "nothing but happy" for Kim and her boyfriend.
Even Disick (whose main storyline involved wearing tinted moisturizer) had something nice to say about the news. "Oh my God, that's amazing!" he exclaimed when he found out about the pregnancy. "We are finally hip hop royalty forever."
