Video: Kourtney Kardashian: Why I Won't Marry Boyfriend Scott Disick
Kim Kardashian may be heading down the aisle later this year to swap vows with Kris Humphries, but don't expect her sister, Kourtney, to follow suit.
In fact, 31-year-old Kourtney says she's perfectly fine without saying "I do" to her longtime beau -- and the father of her 18-month-old, Mason -- Scott Disick.

On Sunday's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kourtney faces criticism from Kim and their mom, Kris Jenner, when she contemplates having a second baby out of wedlock. Concerned for her daughter, Jenner, an ordained minister, goes to the family's pastor for advice on how to convince Kourtney to wed.
"That's not up for discussion, nor do I care what anyone's thoughts are," snaps Kourtney in a preview clip from Sunday's show.

Jenner, 55, has clearly turned a corner when it comes to embracing her daughter's once hard-partying beau. As a result, she's trying to rush them down the aisle.
"When Mason was born, Scott was more of a hot mess, but now he's really turned his life around and been amazing," she says in the clip. "He's such a great partner to Kourtney. I don't know what Kourtney's reservations are, why she's holding back and being so stubborn." Seconds Kourtney's sib, Kim: "I don't know where Kourtney's coming from. I actually agree with my mom on this one."

And although Disick went so far as to shop for engagement rings on last season's Kourtney and Kim Take New York, his girlfriend doesn't seem like she'll be changing her mind any time soon.

"I definitely don't want to get married just for the sake of getting married," she reasons. "This is my life. I don't need a piece of paper to make it a family unit. I don't want to get married right now [and] I don't have to listen to my mom or anyone else!"

Kourtney is like me, I have been with the same person for 20 years and I am comfortable being like this. You don't need a piece of paper to be a family or to show that you are in love. After 20 years and still together and been threw the ups and downs and still together. So do what you feel, not what people tell you.

everyone seems to have a commit on whether or not Kourtney should get married. Thats her business. She couldn't dare tell Khloe not to marry Lamar after one month. Kourtney also didn't tell her brother Rob he was a jerk for being a cheater and a eagomaniac. Yet, they all judge her. Khloe didn't even want Scott in her house. She had a dui and got married after only a month and everyone had to support her. She is so stuckup. Get real, your not all that because your now rich and financially secure. Kourtney is right, her parents weren't perfect and got a divorce and she does not want to put her son threw that. I hardly believe that her father had all that much character either. He defended O.J. Simpson after he killed Nicole and Ronald Goldman. Another bad lawyer with no moral backbone.
marriage...pfft! you go girl...stand your ground. Don't get married because others are pushing you to...that only leads to divorce, dissapointment, and depression. Your mom took her divorce much better than mine did. My mom's holed up in a room because my dad left her. The whole idea of marriage was just a tax matter from Caesar Augustus what, 2000 years ago? why does it matter if some person with an ordanity seal signs a piece of paper that tells the government that now the other has half control of your stuff! Marriage is a waste of time, money and effort.
I kind of understand where Kourt is coming from, but her and scott have been together for like 4 or 5 years, and they have a baby together. This makes me feel bad for Scott now. He has worked on himself alot and has grown up a little bit. Her and Scott should get married. Also, I kind of agree with Scott now. It feels like Kourt is just looking at this relationship between them as something temporary and one day he is gonna get tired of waiting and leave her for being that selfish.

Hey Jo, I come from a place where you need to put your kids first. Let me ask you this, Did that baby ask to be born out of marriage, or to even be born? NO, so if people put themselves to have kids, then face the consequences of it. Either way, it proven point that Kourtney is putting her own selfish interest before her sons. Actions speak louder than words. and if they divorce, then hell, at least she can finally tell her son she tried and it didn't work vs give it her all before her son was born. Stupid that people give it their all before the child was born and quit right after.....either way, you never know unless you TRY! I have been watching this show and other Kardashian's drama. However, I think Kourtney, feels that this Kardashian train will last forever. Khloe and Kim married financially stable people(not that they need the money) But, they can pretty much retire Kourtney is a disrespectful, mean as hell to her mother and Kim. Khloe will kick that ass......sooo she is not about to say to much to her. She can pop out as many babies as she wants but the truth is that she need to deal with the fact that she actually like women(yep I said it and she don't really want to be married to him). Scott knows this. I personally think he can do better and will be way more happier if he date other women. Scott is miserable and Kourtney makes him that way cause she needs therapy. She's the oldest yet acts the youngest. Khloe has more intellect and Kim has alot of work ethics and of course the most responsible professionally but again Khloe don't give a darn because she married a rich ass basketball player. Kourtney, is spoiled,boring and she feels she can't step out without her family. Move to New York, run your store, take care of your baby and get a life. There appears to be something in Kourtney's personality which makes her stand out from her siblings, but I can't put my finger on just what that might be. Perhaps it's something to do with being the eldest and closest to her late Father. There seems to be an inherent defiance, often ! Her reasoning may be " if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it " or maybe her Parent's failed Marriage, has left Kourtney scarred or fearful of failure also and her own refusal to Marry, is a manifestation of that fear and scarring.

If Scott is such a jerk, then why does she want another baby with him? Pretty soon she'll be the one wanting to get married and Scott will be the one saying "Nope, you had your chance." She'd better be careful. Yes, Scott is a jerk but I think it really does something to a man when you repeatedly keep turning him down.
